“ We came to try La Mar with hopes of tasting the exact same flavours that we discovered in Lima early this year and it’s everything we hoped for. We ordered a Pisco Sour Royale (twice the size and serving) and a Chicha Sour which we had order twice because it was very tasty. We then decided to try the Chupe Dumplings (3 servings), the Cebiche Mixto (perfect combination of spicy and tingy flavour) and the Arroz Chaufa Aeropuerto (this is one is generous portion to share). Of course we couldn’t leave without trying a dessert and we were lucky to find Picarones with Miel de Chancaca. The food is not only excellent but the service and the atmosphere is 10/10. We are definitely coming back because we felt like we were transported to Lima on summer night. BTW - the they’ve recently open, less than 2 months ago. ”

“ This was a spectacular meal. I was sceptical since I’ve tried the San Francisco branch before which blew my mind, but safe to say La Mar Madrid did not disappoint. The chaufa is still amazing and we got the catch of the day which was superb. Ceviche is such a hit - highly recommend the Limones if you love a good sour and spicy kick! What really made this experience extra special was our waiter Clifford - extreme professionalism, humour and friendliness, he made us feel extremely welcome and explained the menu patiently to us in English. Had a great conversation with him about our previous La Mar experiences in other countries too. he truly made the experience one of a kind and unforgettable! ”
“ La Mar Miraflores, Lima Peru & La Mar San Francisco... Amazing culinary memories that will last a lifetime. Came to La Mar Madrid with similar expectations. It did not disappoint. It is not quite at the La Mar Miraflores level, but it was still stellar in every way. Firstly, the food was amazing. We had the lemon ceviche, Catch of the Day, and of course, the Chaufa. All delicious. Seafood was so fresh, and the Chaufa was delicious as always! (same as in SF!) Secondly, the service was exemplary. Clifford was professional, clear in his explanations, and kept the experience lively and personal. I felt like a treasured guest being hosted by him. Thirdly, the vibes were immaculate. The interior decoration, the lighting, the fresh seafood being displayed -- all contributed to a sensory and culinary experience that is truly memorable and punches above its weight as a new restaurant not recognised in any significant international rankings. I can only hope that this hidden gem (at least the Miraflores one) will one day get the recognition it deserves! ”
